Morris Oxford VI
D&G Motor Cars are proud to offer For Sale this family favourite in the shape of a 1966 Morris Oxford Series VI…4 Door Saloon. The Farina styled bodywork of our car is and looks stunning, finished in the now quite rare factory Maroon colour that is superbly complemented by its light grey leather interior. If you this cars chrome work into the mix then it makes for a great colour combination and a fantastic period piece to look at.
Our Morris Oxford has been very well maintained and is on the button, everything is quite smooth and works exactly how the manufactures intended.
The bodywork and paint work is excellent throughout with zero rust. The underside is free from any past welding repairs and is very solid indeed. We have a lift in our workshop that can be made available should any prospective purchaser wish to view the underside.
The light grey interior is free from any rips or burn marks. The padded dashboard top is as new. All three gauges work as do all the other electrical items. The dashboard is very clean and free from any added on extras. The nice big steering wheel with its chrome horn ring is a thing to caress and love. The carpets may possibly be original and represent very well indeed. There is a lovely patina to the interior which complements the rest of the car. Open the door and smell that lovely old car smell.
Lift the bonnet and you will find the legendary and all standard 1622cc BMC B-Series engine. However if you are in a hurry to get to your classic car shows then this engine is easily tuneable. Under bonnet area is very clean and oil free. With the bonnet open in a field full of other classic cars this Morris could hold its head up high and certainly would not look out of place at all. Wouldn’t take too much effort to make concourse.
The boot area is also very clean and tidy with all factory provided tools present.
All four tyres are of the same make and tread pattern and are a recent purchase.
This Morris was first registered way back on the 7th April 1966…. Over 55 years ago.
The odometer is showing what we firmly believe to be a genuine 46250 miles. The total mileage may creep up ever so slightly as we insist on enjoying our cars whilst still in our classic car collection.
Complimenting the car is a thick pile of old MOT certificates with this Morris, the earliest one dated June 13th 1973 with mileage at 35037. Apart from 3 years in between, this car has been MOT tested every year with the corresponding mileage increasing minimally as the years roll along right up to the present MOT certificate that expires on the 7th October 2021…. Yes this car is still being tested annually. The mileage reads 46075 on its current MOT certificate…. With no advisories.
Along with the MOT Certificates the car comes with its original R.F.60 Registration book that still includes details of long ago owners.
Of coarse the current V5C registration document is present along with an original owners handbook.
A full mechanical service along with a full check over top to bottom of this car has yet to be carried out in our workshop however all this will be done very shortly and is included in the asking price of £7995.
