This Morris oxford was first registered on the 27th august 1969 which make her a genuine sixties classic car. Finished in the original rose taupe with the roof finished in old English white. All complemented by a red interior. The mileage reads approx 76300 miles and could well be correct.

This classic would be perfect for someone’s first classic car or perhaps someone looking for a classic to use as a daily driver.

Mechanically on the button, the smooth and quiet b-series engine will start straight away either hot or cold. Having benefited from a recent service the engine will keep pulling as you motivate your way through all four forward gears. Oil pressure is maintained at 40psi when warm. The gearbox is precise, tight and quiet and transmits the power to the rear axle without fuss. All gears including reverse are easy to select without any clunking or grinding. The brakes are drums on all four wheels and pull the car up evenly and generally work extremely well. Four brand new comforser 165/ 80/ 14 tyres have recently been fitted. This car does run and drive extremely well, certainly as well as it should.

This Morris also benefits from a new battery and a recently fitted full stainless steel exhaust system
The headlights/ parking lights have also been upgraded for daily driving.
Britax lap belts are fitted to the front seats.

The underside and chassis rails of this Oxford are all as solid as a rock. Some previous welding repairs are evident but by no means at all are they excessive.
a two poster lift is available for use should anyone wish to inspect the underside of this car prior to purchase.

The interior is finished in red … leatherette?. in the not too distant past a previous owner has gone to great expense in getting all four seats recovered and most likely having a new interior carpet fitted at the same time. So as nice as the interior is there is still room for a little more improvement. All gauges work correctly even the mckenzie clock. A period radio is fitted but currently disconnected.

After the expense of new seats, tyres, stainless exhaust, battery.. etc, knowing she was solid and all good mechanically, there is even a receipt to the value of over £200 for the clock repair ( surely proof of a previous owners intentions) I believe a previous owners intention was next to have his classic Oxford professionally repainted. Alas it wasn’t to be and this is why your reading this now.
Good solid bodywork, metal front wings, clean rear arches, sills etc… pretty good chrome work…
It’s the paintwork that is limiting this cars value.
Absolutely perfect if you want a daily driver, something you could park in Tesco’s without worrying perhaps…. but I’m afraid she won’t be winning any concourse events.
Don’t get me wrong, this Oxford looks quite nice, she’s still very presentable and something to be proud off. I just don’t want anyone viewing expecting it to be perfect… shall we call it age related patina?
A good car that someone can use and improve on as he or she goes along.

So there it is…. this Oxford also benefits from a current mot certificate that doesn’t expire until the 10th august 2022… so that’s 9 months mot still to run. There is a factory handbook and a handful of receipts and old mot certificates present.
On sale at a very reasonable £4995. 00 ….. a part exchange deal may be considered.
UK nationwide delivery at your cost.
